Teaching isn’t really an easy task. To inculcate things in an individual’s mind, which will later take the shape of perspectives and approaches is definitely a complicated job. Hence, teachers need to be committed to their job to educate the society. It’s a huge responsibility and people who do not take this responsibility seriously are not fit for the job.

It is crucial for a teacher to organize the subjects and topics in a proper, sequential fashion so that the students comprehend all of it and don’t end up in a pool of confusion.

For all the random questions to unpredictable perceptions of the students, teachers need to be prepared for it all.

Strong tolerance power

Teaching is one job where your patience is repeatedly tested. There will be irrational arguments, unnecessary questions, unexpected outcomes and intolerable noise, but you need to deal with all of it with patience and not just lose your cool.

Narrative or storytelling skills

A narrative or storytelling form of teaching is always widely accepted by the students. Additionally, this way of teaching also helps them understand a concept better. Therefore, it is essential for a teacher to have good storytelling skills.

Be open to questions

Many students are hesitant to point out a doubt or ask questions. It is the teacher’s duty to encourage the students to raise questions and hence, she /he needs to be open to questions of all kinds, that not only clears students’ doubts but also makes the class all the more interactive.

Well, not that these elements of conventional aspects of teaching skills have faded away, but these have been only modified and joined by some of the modern teaching skill sets, which include—

Being innovative with gadgets

From educational apps to dictionaries, teachers must prompt the students to use their electronic devices the right way to learn better, quicker and also in a more vivid fashion. Many may term smart phones as nothing but a distraction; however, there are a variety of apps out there that can actually help you study, learn and practice better than any other way. One just needs to know which ones are beneficial and which are mere distractions.

From i pad to mobile phones, tablets or laptops—the teachers must be well skilled to use all these forms of devices and operate them to enhance the process of learning for the students.

-Make social media a platform to have educational interactions

Teachers can use social mediums like Face book as a platform to promote social interactions between the students, where they can ask questions as well as answer them. Groups can be formed both on Face book and WhatsApp for combine studies and answer their doubts on the go!

Use internet as your best resource

There’s plenty of information available in the world of internet, and a wise and skilled teacher would use this gift of resource to the optimum strength in order to fetch desired results among the students. From subjects related to history, math, science as well as languages—the teachers must use the multimedia platform in the most appropriate way and encourage their students to the same!
